Green Scoring Tool
The
Green Scoring Tool allows scoring a project to the National Green Building
Standard™ (as well as the NAHB Model Green Home Building Guidelines), and is the required entry point for National Green Building Certification.
For each practice, the Green Scoring Tool provides decision support materials such as How to Verify,
Intent, How to Implement, Resources, and Green Approved Products
(when available).
The Standard lists point possibilities in categories such as:
- Lot Design, Preparation, and Development
- Resource Efficiency
- Energy Efficiency
- Water Efficiency
- Indoor Environmental Quality
- Operation, Maintenance, and Building Owner Education
It also provides guidance for multi-unit construction, remodeling and renovation
projects, and site development for the creation of green subdivisions.
